Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #36 Fall Mood Board | Let's Celebrate New Home Card and Gift Tag
Hi everyone!
As promised, I made another card AND tag for the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge. I don't know how many times we can enter, to be honest but I am loving this challenge.
Let's start:
I cut down bristol smooth paper to 4.25" x 5.5" and used an ink blending tool and foam to blend distress inks onto the paper. I started off with Carved Pumpkin, then Dusty Concord and finally Broken China, but I do not think the order matters, haha. Where the colours met I made sure to use the previous colour to get a seamless blend.
Of course noone uses distres inks without adding water splatters, so I covered the whole panel with splatters of water and dabbed it off. To make sure it was completely dry, I put it under my heat tool for a few seconds.
Next, I run it through a leaf embossing folder and then used the second largest fancy scallop circle die to cut out a window.
I then stamped out the images from home sweet home in copic friendly ink and coloured them with my spectrum noirs and die cut them out.
I added foam tape to the back of the card panel and adhered it to a top folding card base slightly wider than the card panel.
I adhered all the images into the window and stamped out a banner and used a sentiment from Sophie's Sentiment to stamp into the banner. To finish off the card, I added some sequins for some sparkle.
I wanted to use the piece that was leftover from the window; so I turned it into a tag.
I die cut another fancy scalloped circle from green Watercolour Wishes paper and then took the Forest Border die to cut out from the green circle. Then I glued this to the bottom of the tag. I stamped, coloured and cut out the house and leaves and added it to the tag.
I just LOVE how the card and tag complement each other. I took inspiration from the sunset sky behind the mountain, the leaves and the colours from the leaves from the moodboard.
