Ramadhan 1439 | 30 days of Qur'aan words activity
Assalaamu 'alaykum (peace be upon you)!
As Ramadhan draws near, I have been incredibly busy preparing and I am nearly complete. I just have cleaning to do and I think I should be done! It's... been... hectic!
But in all the chaos - pretty things emerge.
Sara from Parenthood Muslim Style created an activity for her kids where each day of Ramadhan an envelope will be opened containing a word from the Qur'aan and then they will find that word in the Qur'aan.
I thought this was a great activity to do this Ramadhan for my daughter and my siblings and so I took this activity and instead of printing out her PDF, I created my own envelopes and cards and I will show you how. I still use the words in her PDF and sketched her drawings too. Here's where you can find her PDF, it's beautifully made and I really recommend it! CLICK BELOW!
RAMADHAN 30 DAY ACTIVITY
When printing out- make sure to select multiples in the printing section; this way you can get 4 words on 1 sheet.
Now onto the tutorial:
I took white cardstock (from Poundland so nothing expensive or fancy) and die cut 30 stitched heart envelopes.
Of course, if you do not have a die-cutting machine you can, print out this free printable:
Heart envelope printable
(print it out 30 times and fold across the dash lines to form a rectangle envelope.)
with the stitched heart envelope die set, it comes with a die that cuts out a scalloped note card that fits perfectly inside the envelope.
I also die-cut 30 of these from the same white cardstock. Using the words from Sara's PDF, I wrote an Arabic word on each card and drew a picture too.
Next, using an alphabet stamp, stamp out days 1 - 30 on each envelope heart. I also stamped this cute bee and its trail.
The stamps I used where Clarks ABC's and Hello Sunshine, both from Lawn Fawn.
Crease and fold at the embossed fold and place the card inside and close up
To seal the envelope, I used this beautiful foiled honeycomb washi.
These cards are stored in a wooden box I got from Ikea. I stuck a strip of washi across the front and popped a white strip of card with the words 30 days of Quraan words on top of it to label the box.
Now it is ready for Ramadhan! As we do each word, we will stick it on to the cork board to mark our progress.
Tell me, what 30 days activities will you be doing?
I would love to know.
