Ramadhan 1439 | preparing Ramadhan boxes
Assalaamu 'alaykum,
One of the things I want to do this Ramadhan is to give each child their own Ramadhan box. That is a box filled with Ramadhan related goodies such as books, games, and activities. I haven't done this before so it will be a first.
How I'm going to fill these boxes are by themes. Being Ramadhan, each child is going to have something that is Ramadhan related and it will be suitable for their age (10, 6 and 4).
But I want to pick a certain topic that I feel that child needs to learn more of or a topic that they are interested in.
They will each get two more topics :)
The eldest - my 10 years old sister
She is of the age where Salaah (prayer) is important for her to learn more about and practice. So I have picked Salaah for her theme and will be picking products that will instill the love of Salaah in her.
The second topic is manners, I want her to improve on herself this Ramadhan and to understand that Ramadhan is about bettering yourself. She is nearing pre-teens so this was important to me.
The middle - my 6 years old brother
He is in love with the story of Prophet Yunus (Jonah) so I chose for him Prophet Yunus as his topic. I found a few things that I know he will love and I cannot wait to share it with you, insha'Allaah (God willing).
Masjids (Muslims place of worship) are the second topic for him that I picked, I thought it would be nice for him to learn about the different masaajid in the world and the importance of the Masjid.
The youngest - my 4 years old daughter
For my daughter, the topics I have chosen are Tawheed and Qur'aan.
Tawheed (belief in the Oneness of Allaah) is innate in children and I want to strengthen that and nurture it.
And to further help her, I have chosen Qur'aan so she can develop a bond with Allaahs Words.
So, that's what I have planned and I'm going to search Pinterest for activities surrounding these topics to add to their boxes.
I was watching a video by Imanblogs and she put all the supplies that her kids were going to use for their activities in a pencil case and I thought that was genius - I'm definitely going to copy that!
Here is the video that I watched - click here <--
I will follow this post up in a few weeks time when it is closer to Ramadhan to show you what I have included in their boxes, insha'Allaah.
But I would love your help,
what books/products do you recommend? blogs with great activities to print out?
please leave a comment down below because I would love to hear what's out there.
JazakAllaahu khayr!
