Fall Swap 2019 | Lawn Fawn Addicts Anything But a Card Swap

by - Wednesday, November 20, 2019

Hello!

I want to share with you the goodies I've made and sent to a swap partner in the States. The theme was Anything-But-a-Card, it had to be Fall related and to use Lawn Fawn products.

My inspiration was the holidays that happen in this season:
1) Fall (of course)
2) Halloween
3) Thanksgiving

So I made gift boxes for those particular holidays and filled them with some treats.

Here is an overview of everything I made but keep on reading if you want to see in-depth what I sent :)

Let's begin with the boxes. For all 3 boxes, I used the Lawn Fawn Gift Box dies.

Fall box

I cut the base from kraft and the lid from vellum. To decorate the lid, I used a cover plate from Impression Obsession. It is slightly bigger than the lid but it worked.

I filled it with lip balms that were wrapped with papers from Lawn Fawn Fall Knit Picky. Red is strawberry, Green is aloe and the blue is original.

Halloween box

This box was so fun to make! To decorate the lid, I used the Build a House dies and the Halloween add ons. The house was cut from grey cardstock and coloured in with warm grey copics to add some depth. The roofs were cut from Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes.
I used the tree from Scalloped Treat Box Haunted House add on to bring in more spooky.
The moon was coloured in with warm grey copic markers and I stamped on some bats from Spooky Village.
I stamped the greeting with Versmark ink and covered it with LF Glow in the Dark embossing powder. I thought you can't see ghosts so it will be cool to make it appear only in the dark.
Lastly, I went in with some shimmer pen over the moon, the spider web, chimney, bats, lights and roof.

I filled this box with treat bag toppers decorated with Spooky Village houses. I matched the cardstock with the colour of the roof. Treat topper is by Mama Elephant.

Thanksgiving box

To decorate the lid, I recreated the design I did on a fall card.
I used the largest rectangle from the Fancy Scalloped Rectangle dies as a base. I then layered it with a panel cut with Quilted backdrop for a tone on tone look.  In the centre, I placed a lovely pumpkin pie surrounded by branches (these are actually from the Impression Obsession Fall Leaf background die I used on the first box; I used the inner pieces of the leaves) and leaves from Thanks a Latte.

I filled the box with wax tarts because they look like pies and the scents would be perfect for Thanksgiving.

These are the 3 main things I made but I wanted to make a few extra things.

Extra Things

Treat holder:

I used the Avery Elle treat bag die to cut out paper from the Lawn Fawn Let's Polka in the Dark 6 x 6 paper pad. I decorated with the houses from LF Spooky Village and a grass border.

I used Tag, You're It and the pumpkin from Fall Tiny Tags to seal this cone bag.

Ghost is from Build a House Halloween add on, as is the spider.

Even the twine is from Lawn Fawn :)

Pillow box:

I couldn't resist to send some coffee and it was perfect I had caramel because it is a popular flavour in the Fall season.

To make the box, I diecutted a pillow box from Fall Fling paper. I cut alphabets from Canned Pumpkin cardstock and staggered it for this fun look.
I decorated the back with the mug from Pumpkin Spice stamp set. Isn't he adorable!?

and that is all! I hope I didn't miss out much on how I made these; I can always go back and elaborate if I did. Please let me know :)

Thank you for stopping by!
