Coffee & Friends card | Simon Says Stamps
Hi,
I can't believe I haven't used this stamp set since I received it in a Simon Says Stamps card kit, I love it!
First of all, the script writing is goals and then the images are just so simple yet perfect. I wanted to make a card with a coffee cup that looked like it was from Starbucks. If I achieved it, I don't know but I am so happy with this card.
Here's how I made it:
Tape Bristol smooth paper onto the back of the stencil and flip it over to work on the front without having the tape interfering. Using a foam blending tool start with the lightest colour and starting in the centre of the paper, blend gently in circles, moving outwards and as you go further out go lighter. Add the darker shade in some areas to make it pop.
Stamp the coffee cup onto Neenah solar white card in extreme black ink. This ink is alcohol marker friendly so that means I can use my noirs and copics to colour in the image. Colour in the image.
Using a white pigment ink, I stamped the row of 3 hearts onto the coffee sleeve.
Next, I fussy cut the image out and outline the edges with a black marker and to add dimension, popped it up with foam tape. Before gluing it on I made sure to stamp the curved sentiment on top of where the lid is going to be then I glued on the Styrofoam cup.
I trimmed 1/8th of all edges of the white card panel adhered it to a 5” x 7” kraft card base which I cut down into 4 ½" x 5 ¼"
I felt the card needed something more and so I added some clear sequins to add a bit of sparkle and this is my card complete.
Thank you for stopping by!
